Air Zimbabwe is set to resume direct flights between Harare and London on July 1, 2026, marking its return to the United Kingdom market after a 14-year absence.
The airline will operate flights to London Gatwick, restoring a direct air link for travellers and Zimbabweans living in the UK.
According to reports, the service will be operated through an Aircraft, Crew, Maintenance and Insurance (ACMI) agreement with Spanish carrier Plus Ultra Líneas Aéreas, which will provide the aircraft, flight crew, maintenance services, and insurance.
Air Zimbabwe last operated direct London flights in 2012 using Boeing 767 aircraft before suspending the route due to financial and operational challenges.
The return of the Harare–London route is expected to improve connectivity between Zimbabwe and the United Kingdom while offering passengers a direct travel option once again.
