The Zimbabwe Republic Police have dismantled an illegal liquor manufacturing operation in Harare following a raid conducted in Southerton on June 16, 2026.
Police confirmed the arrest of four foreign nationals suspected of running the operation at a factory along Brodie Avenue.
Authorities seized large quantities of raw ethanol, blended alcoholic products, industrial storage tanks, bottling equipment, and packaging machinery, with the total value of the confiscated items estimated to exceed US$1 million.
Investigators said the facility was allegedly producing counterfeit versions of popular alcoholic brands, including Bouncer Vodka, Kitoko Brandy, Challenger Gin, 8PM Whisky, Royal 69 Liquor, Sixer Banana Spirit, and Ice Cane Spirit.
Police also rounded up 42 workers found at the premises, noting that they were operating without proper protective clothing or the required medical certificates for handling consumable products.
The ZRP has urged members of the public to report suspicious food and beverage processing activities through official channels.
