Philanthropist Comfort Dondo hosted a special celebration in Gweru over the weekend to honour her mother while she is still alive, bringing together family and friends in a touching show of appreciation.
The event was hosted by popular entertainer Mai Titi, who served as the master of ceremonies and guest of honour.
Dondo said the celebration was inspired by her desire to express gratitude for her mother’s sacrifices, love, and unwavering support throughout the years.
“I wanted to celebrate her while she is still here to hear the words, receive the flowers, and feel the love,” she said.
She also thanked Mai Titi, Ruth Dengwani, Rufaro Pilime, and her team for helping make the occasion a success.
Dondo encouraged people to appreciate and celebrate their parents and loved ones while they are still alive, rather than waiting for funeral gatherings to express their gratitude.
