Annalisa Muguwe is reportedly behind bars following her arrest over allegations linked to a prolonged cyber harassment campaign targeting a local businessman.
According to reports, the case escalated into a criminal matter after Muguwe was accused of violating a protection order and breaching provisions of the Cyber and Data Protection Act.
Investigators say the matter dates back three years after the businessman allegedly ended their relationship and cut all ties.
Authorities claim the harassment continued even after a court-issued protection order was granted on Valentine’s Day last year.
Reports further allege that the businessman later left the country in an attempt to distance himself from the situation, but investigators say the conflict intensified online through alleged cyber attacks and the spread of damaging information.
The matter is now before the courts as investigations continue.
