Cricket star Sikandar Raza has won both the Sportsperson of the Year and Sportsman of the Year awards at Zimbabwe’s 2025 Annual Sports Awards following an outstanding season.
Raza enjoyed a remarkable year in international cricket, finishing at the top of the ICC ODI and T20I all-rounder rankings.
He also helped Zimbabwe qualify for the ICC T20 World Cup and became the first Zimbabwean cricketer to score 5,000 T20I runs.
The all-rounder further impressed fans with Lahore Qalandars, playing a key role in the team’s Pakistan Super League title victory.
Meanwhile, the Zimbabwe national rugby union team won Team of the Year after a successful campaign that secured qualification for the 2027 Rugby World Cup.
Coach Piet Benade also retained the Coach of the Year award following his achievements with the Sables.
