The Ministry of Local Government and Public Works has strongly condemned illegal land parceling and unsanctioned land sales taking place on North Umzari Farm in Makonde District, Chinhoyi.
In a statement issued on May 13, 2026, the ministry said the activities violate government policy, spatial planning laws, and urban development regulations.
Authorities said no planning permission has been granted for the subdivision of North Umzari Farm and that no official layout plans have been approved for the property.
The ministry also warned that any layout plans currently being used to market residential or commercial stands on the farm are fake, fraudulent, and legally invalid.
Prospective buyers were cautioned that anyone purchasing land or stands on the property does so at their own risk.
Government further stated that no compensation, legal protection, or alternative land will be provided to individuals who lose money through the illegal transactions.
Officials also warned that any structures built without approved building plans could face immediate demolition without further notice.
