The Robert Gabriel Mugabe International Airport was a scene of high-level diplomacy today as Botswana’s President, His Excellency Advocate Duma Gideon Boko, arrived in Zimbabwe for a significant three-day state visit.
President Boko was warmly received on the tarmac by his counterpart, President Emmerson Mnangagwa, marking an important moment in the bilateral relations between the two neighboring SADC nations.
The visit is expected to strengthen economic, political, and diplomatic ties between Zimbabwe and Botswana.
A major highlight of the visit is the 5th Session of the Zimbabwe-Botswana Bi-National Commission (BNC), where both leaders are expected to co-chair the main proceedings.
The summit follows preparatory meetings held earlier this week by senior government officials and ministers from both countries.
The engagements are aimed at promoting cooperation, regional development, and stronger partnerships between the two nations.
