The government has announced a salary review for civil servants, with the changes set to take effect on April 1, 2026.
The update was confirmed by Public Service, Labour and Social Welfare Minister Edgar Moyo during a media briefing in Bulawayo.
According to the minister, the review follows a comprehensive job evaluation exercise aimed at strengthening the remuneration framework for public sector employees.
The reforms form part of wider efforts to improve the welfare and working conditions of both civil servants and pensioners.
In addition to salary adjustments, government is also planning interventions focused on occupational safety and health, as well as new initiatives to improve access to affordable housing for public servants.
Officials say the measures are intended to safeguard incomes and enhance the overall well-being of workers in the public sector.
