The Zimbabwe Republic Police has issued a nationwide directive ordering all officers to immediately remove any social media posts showing them in police uniform.
Deputy Commissioner General Learn Ncube released the instruction through an urgent radio signal to all stations, warning that failure to comply will result in disciplinary action.
According to the directive, authorities have been monitoring online activity and raised concerns over officers posting unauthorized content on platforms such as Facebook, TikTok, and WhatsApp.
The communication described the behavior as damaging to the image of the police service and warned that it undermines public trust.
Officers have been ordered to delete all such content immediately, with no grace period, while provincial commanders have been instructed to brief all personnel to ensure full compliance
