The high-profile divorce case involving businessman Wicknell Chivayo and his estranged wife Sonja Madzikanda has drawn national attention following the release of court documents.
According to filings before the High Court, Madzikanda is seeking a US$25 million lump-sum maintenance payment, along with US$40,000 in monthly spousal support.
The claim also includes exclusive ownership of three luxury properties located in Gletwyn and Ballantyne Park in Harare, as well as a high-end apartment in Sandton, South Africa.
In addition, she is requesting a fleet of seven luxury vehicles, including multiple Rolls-Royce models, a Range Rover, a Mercedes-Benz Maybach, and a Lexus SUV.
If granted, the settlement could become one of the largest of its kind in Zimbabwe, reflecting the scale of wealth involved in the case.
The matter is expected to proceed through the courts as both parties contest the terms of the divorce settlement.
