The Zimbabwe Republic Police has issued an urgent appeal for information following a viral video showing a woman assaulting a minor and forcing the child to touch a burning gas stove.
Authorities are working to identify and locate the suspect captured in the footage and have urged members of the public to assist with any information that may lead to her arrest.
Police have also called on the child’s relatives or guardians to come forward and report the matter at their nearest police station to support ongoing investigations.
The ZRP warned that once apprehended, the suspect is likely to face serious charges, including attempted murder.
