A tragic aviation accident occurred on Sunday in Village 4 in Zaka, where a small plane crashed, killing the male pilot while his wife survived the incident with severe injuries.
According to witnesses who were at the scene, the aircraft went down while the couple was flying together. Residents who rushed to the crash site said both the pilot and his wife were still alive immediately after the aircraft hit the ground.
However, the situation quickly worsened when the plane caught fire shortly after the crash. Witnesses reported that the flames rapidly engulfed parts of the aircraft, leading to the death of the pilot, who was unable to escape the burning wreckage.
The pilot’s wife managed to survive the crash but sustained serious injuries to her legs. People at the scene quickly moved to assist her before emergency responders arrived. She was later rushed to hospital for urgent medical treatment, where she is currently receiving care.
Local residents described the incident as shocking and heartbreaking, as many had initially believed both occupants would survive the crash before the fire broke out.
