The Harare City Council has deployed heavy machinery to Budiriro 5B to begin demolishing unauthorized structures in the area.
The operation targets several informal tuckshops and temporary buildings that were constructed without legal approval from the local authorities.
Officials say the move is part of ongoing efforts to enforce urban planning regulations and address the growth of unregulated structures within residential areas.
Residents and business operators affected by the demolitions are being urged to follow proper procedures and obtain the necessary permits before constructing or operating any structures within the city.
