The government has assured citizens that it has sufficient fuel reserves to meet national demand for the next three months, despite ongoing conflicts in the Middle East.
Acting Minister of Energy and Power Development Dr. Zhemu Soda presented the update to the National Assembly of Zimbabwe, stating that a detailed report had confirmed the adequacy of current fuel stocks.
He was responding to concerns raised by legislators regarding supply stability and rising fuel prices. Dr. Soda emphasized that government storage facilities are fully stocked and that fuel supply contracts with regional partners remain secure.
However, he cautioned that fuel prices could still be affected by market forces if any disruptions occur along the supply chain.
Authorities say they will continue monitoring the situation closely to ensure uninterrupted fuel availability
