The case involving the son of former President Bellarmine Mugabe and his co-accused Tobias Matonhdze has been postponed to 11 March due to the absence of electricity at the Alexandra Magistrate’s Court.
The two are facing charges of attempted murder, defeating the ends of justice, and unlawful possession of a firearm. According to the charge sheet, Mugabe is also accused of violating South Africa’s immigration laws.
The postponement was granted after court proceedings could not continue under the current conditions. The matter is expected to resume once operations return to normal.
