The CAF Disciplinary Board has officially rejected the protest submitted by the Fédération Royale Marocaine de Football (FRMF) concerning alleged regulatory violations by the Fédération Sénégalaise de Football (FSF) during the TotalEnergies CAF Africa Cup of Nations Morocco 2025 Final.

Morocco’s football governing body had lodged a formal complaint citing alleged breaches of Articles 82 and 84 of the AFCON regulations. These articles relate to compliance with competition rules and conduct during official matches. The protest followed the dramatic final in which Senegal emerged victorious, lifting the continental trophy.

After reviewing the submission and examining the relevant match reports and regulatory framework, the CAF Disciplinary Board ruled that the claims did not warrant any disciplinary action or alteration of the final result. As a result, the outcome of the AFCON 2025 Final remains unchanged, confirming Senegal as the legitimate champions of the tournament.

The decision brings closure to a matter that had sparked debate among supporters and officials following the high-profile final. While Morocco sought clarity and accountability through the protest process, CAF’s ruling reinforces the integrity of the competition’s regulatory procedures.

With the disciplinary matter now settled, attention shifts back to the football itself, as Senegal celebrate their continental triumph and Morocco reflect on a campaign that fell just short in front of their home supporters.
