Residents of Guruve are calling for urgent assistance following reports of gangs invading local villages in search of human body parts. Fear and tension have spread across the affected areas as more sightings and incidents continue to emerge.
A victim from the Nyamhondoro area reported that four unknown men approached her mother’s home at midnight on Saturday. She managed to call for help just in time, narrowly avoiding a possible attack. The same group was also seen at a dam near John Strong Farm on Thursday, and the police were alerted.
Similar cases have been reported in Kachuta, Mpinyuri, and Shayabvudzi, where residents have spotted these men moving around suspiciously.
Community leaders are urging people to move in pairs, avoid isolated places, and stay vigilant at all times. Many locals now feel unsafe and are appealing to the Zimbabwe Republic Police to increase patrols in the affected areas and bring the suspects to justice.
Guruve residents continue to live in fear as they wait for authorities to take action.
