The African Apostolic Church has announced the passing of its revered founder, Archbishop Paul Mwazha, who died on Thursday at the age of 107. His death marks the end of an era for one of Zimbabwe’s most influential and long-serving spiritual leaders.
The announcement was made by the Church’s General Secretary, Bishop Jeshua Mhizha, who issued an official statement confirming the Archbishop’s death.
In the statement, Bishop Mhizha said:
“I regret to inform you that Our Archbishop, Paul Mwazha of Africa, our church leader, has just passed on today, November 20, 2025. He has departed from us but in spirit we are together with him. More information will be released in due course. Kudzai Jehovah, Kudzai Jehovah!”
Archbishop Mwazha, affectionately known as “The Africa Apostle,” was widely respected for his decades-long spiritual leadership and powerful influence on millions of followers across Zimbabwe and beyond. His teachings, humility, and commitment to moral and spiritual restoration earned him national and regional recognition.
The church is expected to announce funeral arrangements and official proceedings in the coming days as the nation reflects on the life of a man considered a spiritual father by many.
May his soul rest in eternal peace.
