A Munenzva long-distance passenger bus travelling from Harare to Cape Town was involved in a fatal road traffic accident yesterday, leaving an undisclosed number of people dead. The tragic incident occurred at around 5:20 PM on Sunday, 16 November 2025, along the 155km peg on the Masvingo–Beitbridge Road, one of Zimbabwe’s busiest and most dangerous highways.
The Zimbabwe Republic Police (ZRP) confirmed the accident, revealing that the bus was on its international route when disaster struck. Although police have verified that lives were lost, they have not yet released the exact number of fatalities or details regarding the condition of the injured passengers.
