Businessman Sir Wicknell has announced a generous package of support for Sungura legend Alick Macheso following his recent road accident.
Sir Wicknell said he personally contacted Macheso and confirmed that the musician escaped the incident unharmed and is in good health.
He also clarified that the vehicle involved in the accident was not the Mercedes-Benz GLE he previously gifted the artist, but Macheso’s older Toyota Fortuner.
To support the music icon, Sir Wicknell announced that he is gifting Macheso a brand-new 2026 Toyota Fortuner GD6, which is fully paid for and registered.
In addition, he pledged US$10,000 to cover any medical check-ups the musician may require after the accident.
Macheso’s manager will also receive a Toyota Aqua and US$2,000 for fuel in appreciation of his support during the difficult period.
Sir Wicknell urged Zimbabweans to celebrate the safety and wellbeing of the legendary entertainer following the incident.
