The Zimbabwe Republic Police have arrested 28-year-old Shepherd Severa in connection with the murder of his friend, Brian Nandana, following a disturbing investigation in Harare.
Police say the case began on May 19, 2026, after officers recovered a blood-stained Toyota Aqua at Warren Hills Cemetery in the early hours of the morning.
Investigations later led detectives to Severa, who is alleged to have confessed to killing Nandana.
According to police statements, the suspect allegedly attacked the victim with a kitchen knife before directing investigators to a shallow grave at the cemetery.
Authorities later recovered the victim’s body, which reportedly had severe injuries including a deep neck wound.
Commissioner P. Nyathi confirmed that the suspect remains in custody while investigations into the full circumstances surrounding the case continue.
