Congratulations to Douglas Hamandishe on being elected as the new Mayor of Medway in the United Kingdom.
The 51-year-old practicing nurse says he hopes to focus on tackling deprivation, addressing health inequalities, and supporting mental health initiatives during his term in office.
Hamandishe has also chosen Wisdom Hospice and The Sunlight Development Trust as his official charities.
His achievement has been celebrated by many Zimbabweans both at home and across the diaspora.
