The Zimbabwe Republic Police has issued an urgent appeal for information leading to the arrest of 30-year-old Francis Makuma Magirayano, who is wanted in connection with a violent case of attempted murder.
The incident occurred on 18 April 2026 in Chimanimani following what authorities describe as a domestic dispute involving the suspect and his 26-year-old wife, Mercyline Mahembe.
Investigators report that the suspect allegedly opened fire on three people during the altercation after reportedly returning from South Africa.
His wife sustained multiple gunshot wounds to her cheek, hand, and thigh. His sister-in-law was also shot in the leg, while a shopkeeper at Kopa Business Centre was injured before the suspect fled.
The suspect was last seen driving a silver Toyota Fortuner with South African registration plates JV 70 SM GP.
