It has been ten years since Maud Chifamba made history as the youngest graduate in Zimbabwe. To mark this milestone, she has announced a scholarship initiative to support one underprivileged girl to attend university starting in 2026.
The scholarship is open to girls who meet the following requirements:
• Have applied to a local university (either admitted or awaiting admission for 2026)
• Passed O-Level English and Mathematics
• Have a minimum of 14 A-Level points
• Demonstrate financial need
Applicants, or community members applying on their behalf, must submit a 500–800 word essay answering the question:
“Ten years from now, who do you hope to become and why?”
