A horrific act of domestic violence has plunged Machingambi Village in Masvingo Province into mourning after a 33-year-old artisanal miner, Morgen Gwasira, allegedly murdered his wife with an axe before setting three family homesteads ablaze.

The tragic incident occurred on October 12 in the Gwanha area, under Chief Mugabe’s jurisdiction, Ward 13, leaving the community in shock and devastation.

Details of the Incident

According to reports, Gwasira brutally attacked and killed his wife in a fit of rage before torching three homesteads, destroying all property.
